Our Story…

There’s hope in Africa especially for Rwanda. With the chance of becoming an international citizen, I witnessed Rwanda twenty years after the genocide. I came off the plane with my small minded self and said, “Oh my gosh they have buildings”

How dare I!

You see, after twenty four years of being fed bias information by television commercials; showing starving women and children, the many exposed statistics of diseases. Africa did not appeal to me.

In this collection you will see my journey. The colours are obtained from original photographs that were captured at the time. The patterns are created from the concept of bringing life out of death. It may be twenty years post the genocide but ‘Rwanda Still Stands’.
